Kid Chaos - bassist 1985 through 1987

One of the founding members of The Love Reaction, Kid Chaos (real name Stephen Harris) left the band in February of 1987 to join up with The Cult as a 'special guest' bassist during their 1987 'Electric World Tour'.

Zodiac Mindwarp, in 1988, had this to say about Kid Chaos' joining The Cult...

"Aye, I was annoyed and upset in that order. I always knew Kid was a mercenary bastard, but I didn't expect him to kick me in the crotch like that. As for Ian Astbury, he was pretty underhand about it all, temptin' him. I don't care now because the new guys in the band are much better."

Harris was billed as a special guest and by the new name, The Kid. Harris was not a full fledged band member so he remained in the background, literally, during the tour. On The Cult's appearance (13.May 1987) on The Late Show (in which Joan Rivers hosted that night), Harris played wearing a Zodiac Mindwarp t-shirt (one that has an imprint of the 'High Priest Of Love' album cover).

Harris left The Cult in March of 1988 and was given "some equipment" and a little cash for his services. Harris left for New York and once again changed his stage name, this time to Haggis. Harris, along with the help of producer Rick Rubin, formed The Four Horsemen. During this time Harris also switched from playing bass to guitar. In 1989 the band released a self-titled E.P. and later a full length album in 1991.
