Zodiac Mindwarp

Zodiac Mindwarps real name is Mark Manning the founding member of the band. Mark was originally from Yorkshire and frequented Leeds in a quest for alcohol in his youth. His brother has been seen drinking in Sheffield (a tale on one of the newsgroups tells of someone being chased my Zeds brother after spilling a pint.)

Mark did cartoon strips for Record Mirror (a.k.a. RM) and was later art director for Flexipop! magazine before he assumed the identity of Zodiac Mindwarp. He also had a cartoon published in the Independent.

Zed as he likes to be know at the moment founded the band with friend Jimmy Caunty, most popular for being in the band KLF and more recently K2.

Zed enlisted Gimpo early on in the bands life and had a child from Gimp's (Gimp as he is affectionately called by Zed) half sister Sandra.

Zed is known for his black tattoo of a cross on his chest, among one of his many tattoos.



As we all know Zed does most of the artwork for the albums and writes those lyrics we have all grown so use to listening. More recently zed has turned his skills to writing with friend Bill Drummond. Zed and Bill wrote of the treck to the North pole in their book "Bad Wisdom" in what has been phrased "Bill and Zeds Excellent Adventure".

Zed and Gimp have remained good friends with Bill and Jimmy and have recently been featured in the press for their support for the Liverpool Dock workers.
