Personal Study Notes On Unix. This is the index to my personal study notes which I made during my reading of 'The Internet for Dummies' by Levine and Baroudi. A useful crib for ferreting around the Internet - especially when you need to veer off the beaten track. Of course, you need to read the book yourself first.

• History & Structure Unix, Its shells, Unix GUIs
• Using Unix on Hosts, Workstations, via PCs
• Unix Files naming, listing, copying, moving, deleting, displaying, printing
• Unix Directories root, usr, home, disk drive mount points
• Finding a File incl. use of Wildcard Characters
• Redirection of input, output and error; pipes
• Printing with Unix printers, print queues, print formatting, status reports
• The Basic Unix Commands comparing, sorting, file compression etc.
