| One who has been dispossessed of his fair share of the natural means through which he would be able independently to transform his labour into his needs of life.
One who can therefore acquire his needs of life only by selling his own labour. One who therefore depends of being permitted (by one who does possess such means) to use them to transform his labour into the needs of human life in return for a wage with which he can buy his own needs of life. |
